DIET GURU
To maximize your results at South County Adventure Boot Camp, it is vitally important that you learn to eat well. The best results that people see are by combining a great exercise program (South County Boot Camp) and good nutrition. If you eat poorly, the exercise by itself will NOT yield the results you want to see.
South County Adventure Boot Camp currently recommends an online service to help with this called Diet Guru. Diet Guru is an online service that was actually started by Dr. John Spencer Ellis, the founder of Adventure Boot Camp. This service is easy to use, very inexpensive ($10 per month), and will help you get exactly the kinds of foods you should be eating to maximize your results. You can pick the kinds of foods you like, and add them to a list, and the system will help you target the calorie range you need, as well as make sure you are getting all the nutrients and vitamins your body needs.
Click on the logo above to visit Diet Guru, and then watch their online video to learn more about how to use the program. If you have additional questions about this service, please contact the Diet Guru support team, as this is a product that is simply referred and recommended by South County Adventure Boot Camp.

"The purpose of A Place to Grow, Inc. is to provide a quality education based on early childhood development for children of the community.Children learn through modeling and hands-on child choice activities while caring teachers model self help skills, values, and proper social behavior and prepare a safe, challenging environment to stimulate growth."
In 1992, A Place to Grow was founded by the South County Hospital in collaboration with Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) of Rhode Island. Despite its association with the hospital and being located in close proximity to the hospital's campus, APTG was a separate nonprofit organization from the hospital. After the VNS relinquished their connection with APTG in 1995, the hospital was left as the sole promoter. The hospital subsequently required APTG to relocate in 1999 their operation as the hospital was expanding and needed the space. In 2002, A Place to Grow finally moved from the hospital location to their present one on High Street, Wakefield,RI.
We are always looking for more ways to ensure we offer the most current and developmentally appropriate techniques when working with children. We have coordinated services with several local and state (CHILDSPAN, RIDOE, RIELS, etc.) programs.
